Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam once said,” If India is to become developed by 2020, it will do so only by riding on the shoulders of the young”
This post started on 15th August and might end on 17th :)
I have tried to put forward some of the young talents of India from different Genre, who i think can bring laurels to our country in immediate future.
Saina is one of those i have not included in the list. I am waiting for CWG, where she will TOP the list and deserve one big blog :)
And this entry is highly influenced with my hobbies: Cricket & Indian Film Industry
Suresh Raina
He has the Talent, will & of course the spirit to remain ahead until he too let it blow away like yuvi did( hope he has learnt the lesson, waiting for him to see blasting attacks).
P.S.- Vulnerability lies in short ball & sometimes the temperament. Wish him Success and to be very Honest Suresh Raina is one big pillar if India has to win the World Cup'11.
Amit Trivedi
Aamir, Iktara(Wake Up Sid), "Gal mitthi mitthi bol (Aisha), Udaan And DEV Ds. In case you have listened any of the Song/Album, you know what i am talking about. If Amit was lucky to get Aamir, he sure has hit Jackpot with "Emotional Atyachar"(both vesrions) and Iktara. He might be on the wrong side of 30 but damn who cares. He brings out a new genre or a mixed one to the Movies which till now was untapped or may be not heard of much.Working at a time when ARR is at his best might be an inroad to his fame but well if he continues to give us gems like Iktara & DevD or even Aisha, he might achieve the spot where he really belongs.
We wish that this was not a flash in pan and he will go a long way to enthrall us with his beautiful yet striking compositions.
Sachin Pilot
I believe in next 5 years we might see a list of young MPs in our Lok-Sabha. And my personal favorite out of all is Sachin Pilot. At 26 years of age, he became the youngest Member of the Parliament in the Country. And has shown maturity since then. As an MBA graduate from Wharton Business School, the new Minister of State for IT and Communications shows lot of promise for the IT-ITeS industry, which is currently battling a severe slowdown. He has been brilliant in execution of Plans & Promises(which is unlike Indian politics). Ajmer being his constituency has seen growths in almost all the major sectors(railways, IT, Post office to name a few). Expectations are huge and he is living upto them atleast for now.
It is an adage " To set someone on a bigger role you need to see how well he fares on a smaller platform consistently" Sachin has done it in the past so lets just pray for his success. With him we have Young Brigade building India, And hope they also dont follow paths paved by the oldies to divide & earn. Amen!!!
Chetan Bhagat
In a country where Pen has always been mightier than Sword, He has to come in this list. Strictly in my opinion, What Tendulkar did to Indian Cricket, CB did it for bloggers & Novelist. After 5 Point Someone & Night in Call Centre so many of us have lost the inhibition and jumped on the wagon of making writing(In cricket it was more or less Tendulkar) their only source of Income. People have come out with brilliant Web Blogs & even more interesting Novels. There were good writers available already but CB has made Art of Writing very common yet fascinating. All his works might read similar still they bring freshness in a sense/style which took all of us by surprise. His novels have been adapted for movies is another feather he can boast of & now with editorial writings he is bringing young ideas to solve trivial yet bigger problems of the country.

The New York Times called Chetan the ‘the biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history.’ Seen more as a youth icon than just an author, this IIT D/ IIMA graduate is making India read like never before.
He quit his well paying job to become a full time writer, giving hope & assurance to many of those who wants to start something of their own or something from their hobbies instead. For me, personally he is no less than a "RockStar"
I can only wish him success and to all who have followed their Hearts to conquer their minds & pockets :)
JAI HIND :)
cheaterchinu ( its not CHINTU) :)
Well..Deepika padukone is overratted...she cant act for a dime...her speech delivery is aweful...she is mesmerising & beauty ofcourse...that might sweep you off..but hell shez no good...comparing it to madhuri is biased blinded decision..Oh Gawd..and chetan bhagat..you are giving him credit to popularize bloggers & novelist in India?????? i thought it was internet & social networking sites..that got all EXISTING writers to make their work public...he wrote five point someone well...okay..but..one night at call center ..it was a stupid novel....there are many like him floating around, some got chance to publish their work some just blog it away, I so not agree with you on these two...

ReplyDeleteAnger for reason which are not worth just because she is Famous & Young you can yell out as many reason you want to :)
ReplyDeleteNot all actresses are lucky to get KAMINEY or may be a PAA to showcase their acting Powers. I am still to figure out what you look for when you say the word "acting". Layman like you & me can talk about presentability where she is perfet. Plus she doesnt come from a film background, she has not passed any Acting Schools so keeping these things in mind i can tell you she is doing very well. Instead of supporting a new Talent we always end up criticizing them(which is very, very easy, even if you don't know DIME about it) Hope we see the better part of everybody. and to be honest No producer is fool enough to cast her in his movies if she is so Bad(we have seen more beautiful faces loose out cz they dint learn and i am sure this wont happen to Deepika) Lets give the girl her due, she has been fabulous till now be it films or the cannes :)
May be i travel more or may be i observe more but Newspaper stands were never so full with all new Novelist writing about their love, lust or anything under the sun Before 5PS happened. Smebody has to break the shackeles and CB did it. Leaving a wel paying job, belief in himself he did, what many of us were yearning for. Writing like no boy can, is sure a skill but to write & state examples for others in a simplistic way is all more important :)Thats what he did and did it in style. Attracting writers & readers in a way never seen of. May be i am ignorant here of any other case, you can mention the names & i will check for sure :)
ReplyDeleteTo say "he wrote 5PS well okay" and calling ONACC a Stupid novel, speaks about lot how small the credit is given to highest selling novel ever :) i wish we learn the art of appreciation cz we are already master at criticizing :)
Well...i think.. critics are not invited here and so i shall henceforth stop commenting on your blogs...
ReplyDeleteAnger was definitely not the reason...to not support your views on deepika padukone..why will i be?? she dint rob my guy or anything!!!! Acting is what kate winslet has done in revolutionary roads, or for that matter priyanka chopra, konkana sen, nandita das, rani mukherji do...i might have missed a lot more names..& "presentability"???? presentablity of looks?? or of the role?? you seem to be confused here yourself!!!!
And plz..."producer is fool enough"..what are u saying????The only thing is, this generation of actors are more sensible in terms of the business..PR..and all..Deepika willl do good just as katrina has done...thats all but she wont be classified as a fine actor.Talent..no sir this woman doesnt have it in her!!!
Chetan Bhagat on the contrary does have talent for writing aboveboard, and he has done far better than the rotten piece of work that followed him...What shackles??? getting the right publisher?? I dont get you.And..real people dont need appreciation...they know they are good..they need no mansi no prashant to give them credit for any thing..For real talents theres lot more that matters to them than just criticism & appreciation.Best Selling Novel :)..you would know more definitely...on what account things are sold,it has nothing to do with quality.And..if you noticed i dint criticize all the figures of your subject...Only the few that i dont agree..I dint know..only the supporters are welcomed here..SORRY!!!
JAI HIND...
ReplyDeleteyou started with Kalam's quote
Do you really think Mr. Kalam had any of these in his mind when he said that??
Do you think Deepika would help in India's "DEVELOPMENT" ?? plz spare a blog to explain which "DEVELOPMENT" you are talking about...
agreed CB and Pilot are doing their bit, but what about rest??
either this is your first blog in the Series of Youngistaan ka Wow or if you have selected these as best suited people to take India forward, then I am missing something...
No entrepreneur, no teacher, no social worker, just 1 politician...
janta jawaab maang rahi hai Mr. Chinu
I liked the theme of your blog (Blue Jeans)
ReplyDeletewill read the complete article some other time :)
Just one point-CB may have done good to starters (in readers' community) but he can not be termed as indian star in my point of view as he is not admired by a large number in our generation. Same goes for Deepika. What good has she has done apart from entertining which is the job of any entertainer? Her charm is, I think, the only reason she is popular among men but that should not be criterion of naming someone a national star. So what, if she is successful in her job, we all may be successful in our respective jobs...A real star is someone who dares to bring positive change in society for its betterment. Like Priety Zinta did some years back by courageously testifying against indian underworld in 1993 and bringing change in terms of encouraging freedom of expression. I think, she is a real star...There might be many others around us whose deeds are not recognized nationwide as they do not have reach to masses unlike film stars, authors or cricket stars.........................
@Ishansh: you are right, these are first few. To be Honest I dont know much about other fields so have to research a lot before writing. These are the people whom i consider can bring India to Limelight and development might follow. I thought i should start with my Favorites. I will try to bring names which are unheard still but are worth enough to follow.
ReplyDelete@Manasi: When i say critics, i mean critic to a person who i doing well, yes yo can criticize my views but i will stand by to all i have said and written until proved wrong by a good sense view and not by just any senseless point. I never force anybody to read or comment. I respect your views, good if you dont wont to share or cant tolerate somebody differing from your Viewpoint. When you say Chetan writes Rotten, i beg your pardon but i feel its better you don't comment.
ReplyDelete@Shikha: Agreed with all points except for CB.

ReplyDelete1. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalaam (AGREED)...He is an inspiration for nation building, For those who disagree kindly follow dis-->http://www.abdulkalam.com/kalam/jsp/display_content.jsp?menuid=22&menuname=Dr.Kalam%F6s%20Page&linkid=130&linkname=Profile&content=457&columnno=0&starts=0&menu_image=-&myheader=Profile&titlename=null.
ReplyDelete2.Suresh Raina(AGREED)..this guy has done a commendable job till now.
3.DP(DISAGREE):dats y i hav DELETED DP's part.
4.Amit Trivedi(AGREE)
5.Sachin Pilot(AGREE)
6.Chetan Bhagat(AGREE):its bcoz of CB dat i hav started reading novels. He no's hw 2 touch ppls heart..i no ONACC was a disaster but the other 3 were stupendous.
Chinu nice starting of Youngistaan ka WOW...Keep it Up :)
Well, read my comment carefully...""Rotten piece of work" that followed him namely.."ofcourse i love you" "a sunny shady life"..and not chetan bhagat himself..the guy writes aboveboard thats his speciality...i dont like his novels much..but the articles his writes in editorial TOI are worth reading...
ReplyDeleteI dont think you quite got the point that i was trying to make so let it be..and also..Just becoz u feel something is sensible doesnt mean the other person is making senseless arguement...
U seem to be getting me all wrong right from the beginning..and ofcourse this is ur portal..you can take it in any direction you want.
And yes i will refrain from commenting..since you dont seem to like honest response and anyway..it dint turned out to be healthy discussion as it was supposed to be.
Take care
@Mansi: may be i gt it wrong. Sorry if i did. Its not my portal, because of ppl like you i want to write again...may be we were not able to get each others point in the right frame of mind or context. If words are healthy then only discussion can be healthy :) Choices of words could have been better..thats what i think. Its your wish again to see in a different light. "we all are very broad minded when other's accept what we have to offer/say".
ReplyDeleteDear chinu
ReplyDeleteI tried a lot not 2 comment but ......
Fully agree with mansi all the points u raised about deepika and CB....they are good but not the best ...
and to add too it Suresh Raina ...ok a fine cricketer but he has been on the fringe of being someone soecial for tooo long ....its very easy to play on dead pitches(u said difficult situation ...dude 7 centuries were scored in that innings)...and he u have to agree he just cannot face SHORT deliveries (Last Two 20 world cupa are proof )
and deleting deepika from this list was the best thing that could have happened to your blog
She does not belong here :P...:D
@Anmol: i am glad that u commented :) was waiting for it.
ReplyDeleteRaina: when i said difficult, i was talking about the situation India was in. He came when we had alreday 4 top order wickets and trailing by more than 400 runs. Yes i agree pitch was a dud but still someone has to play that knock suporting Sachin was so so necessary and he did it. I have written he might be lucky but still luck factor is too small when you are playing at international level. Last 2 WC has been a disappointment for the TEAM and not for one individual. My point is out of all the younger lots he is the one who can make a difference. And if you say a "easy to play on an easy pitch", it is easy for all 22 players and if he does it he should be given the credit. This guy has a decent average in all forms of the game for a long time now. I also wish to see him firing all guns in WC. I hope you also want the same from him cz it will be better for Indian cricket as a whole :)
Lot has been said about Deepika guess i am standing on a lone Island :( hope she achieves what she really deserve :)
CB i wish we appreciate the effort. It cannot be Luck always.
I know my comment was provocative, but i was honest and to tell you the truth aap saamne hote to bhi i would have expressed myself the same way.:).i was carried by and churned up with some of the content...anywayz..i would like to discuss it at length next time we meet if at all u wish.
